Full Moon Trance Party - Koh Pha-Ngan, Thailand 2002

Koh Pha-Ngan is an island in the Gulf of Thailand near Koh Samui. You can only reach in by ferry. Suitcases are not allowed and may be tipped overboard by backpackers...

Had Rin beach hosts the majority of Full Moon Party goers. The black lighting and fluorescent paint is great fun at night.

You can have all the symbols above painted on you at the beach party scenes. Once the music starts, wild things happen.

For those of you a little more adventurous, small boats take you around the island to smaller beaches which are a little more laid back.

Here's the view from another beach from a bungalow that costs $20 a night. Most places on the beach cost $5/night.

This secluded beach is empty save for one set of bungalows and bar/restaurant. Bob Marley music is the preferred music. Life is very easy going.

Zaques poses for a photoshoot. It's a hard life spending a month on the island.

There are plenty of artists in Had Rin and great places to eat. You can also rent dirt bike motorcycles to explore the island.

Paul concentrates on writing the script. There's yoga, meditation, massage, and satsong also available on the island.

The sunrises and sunsets are great way to start or end the day. Koh Pha-Ngan is the place to be.
